Ang Thong National Marine Park is a stunning archipelago located in the Gulf of Thailand, near the popular tourist destination of Koh Samui. The park comprises 42 islands, each characterized by limestone cliffs, lush jungles, and crystal-clear waters. Ang Thong, which translates to “Golden Bowl” in Thai, was designated as a marine national park in 1980.

We arrive at the pier and board the speedboat. Put on a life vest and let’s start the Angthong Marine Park tour!
We arrive at Koh Wau for snorkeling. Enjoy the brightly colored fish on the reef. Don’t feel like snorkeling? Go to the beach, relax, and enjoy the scenery.
After a short trek on Koh Wau, we arrive to Emerald Lake (Thalay Nai). This saltwater lake is one of the tour’s highlights due to its vivid green color and surrounding limestone cliffs. If you don’t want to trek up, you can stay on the beach and snorkel or kayak in the mangroves surrounding the island.
We board the speedboat for a short ride to Koh Wua Ta Lap (also known as Sleeping Cow Island). You may trek up to the viewpoint, which offers a wonderful view of the 42 islands. Be sure to bring your camera because the vistas are breathtaking! Next, we’ll go down to the beach for a fantastic Thai-style buffet lunch. After lunch, you can continue enjoying the islands by snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, or simply relaxing on the beach.
At 03:00 PM, it’s time to depart this lovely location. Our speedboat will take us back to Koh Samui in about an hour. Enjoy the vistas and the blue waters. If you’re extremely lucky, you might see the whales or dolphins that inhabit these seas!
